Comes back to what is considered art? Look at the minimalists. One huge big painting of one colour. It is a social commentary. It is art. The surge in copy and pasting photos is just usage of available materials (just like collage when printed materials became readily available.) The only effort that is required is to submit something. I'm completely guilty of spending a full couple of hours or prepping some gridcosm piece and then going completely basic with a completely white or black square (and so are you I see.) A fifteen minute doodle is awesome. a 1 second cut and paste is awesome. A distjoint piece is awesome. A complete break in the flow of gridcosm is awesome. A 2 year work is awesome. Nothing is awesome. Ultimately emotions drive us. If you feel cranky let it drive you. I mean, even not contributing is a statement itself (only truly valid if you have contributed before.) And I say, let us have more black and white levels. Colour is so level 2458.
