this site is a great tool. an opportunity. to do something worthwhile, improve ourselves as artists and still have fun at the same time. that opportunity IS being wasted. the gridcosm is fine when viewed in flash. but it could be great. what is lacking is effort. too little drawing and painting. too much copy paste and psuedo design. i saw what i loath most in art in the levels i made my commentaries in. but nobody saw or heard.

so now that the question has been raised, i'll try to answer it. the lack of effort here is apalling. too much mirroring the neighbors work, too much copy pasting, too much grab a picture off google doctor it up and submit it, too much horrendous blending, too much lack of flow and continuity, too much congratulating for amorphous blobs and minimalistic approach, etc., etc., etc...

again i say, the gridcosm could [[and should]] be something great. it should live forever. i'm an addict when it comes to viewing the flash version. but if anything can drive people away and finally kill the cosm, it is lack of effort.

draw or paint something for cryin out loud. enough with the clip art and 15 minute doodles already.

i'm usually close mouthed, but i'm feeling cranky today. cranky and honest. sorry if i stepped on toes.
