I definitely squat. It's a vent for my disappointment, something I can do that's within the rules to protest hog-fests. This is as opposed to going into the database and deleting pieces (which, for the record, never happens, as much as I'm tempted). Basically "squatting" (which I think might be a misnomer) is a clunky way of applying the "metering" rule we've talked about. That rule would be something like
"allow an artist only to post 3 pieces every 12 hours"
-- or something like that.

Obviously, my squatting is pretty much a failure because levels end up getting hogged anyway.

I'm certainly guilty of "lazy" pieces. Not sure if that's what you're talking about. But ultimately, I prefer blendy laziness to disjointed intensity. Personal taste, I suppose. Because laziness, when subjected to the intense art-crushing pressures of shared-shrinking-canvases, can still look pretty cool.
