I'd say hogging isn't that much about how many squares you take (though always taking 5 or 6 might be a little abusive). I think the real problem is when levels start to get interesting, and all of a sudden the flow is broken by non-fitting pieces. Usually, the next few levels are chaotic and uninteresting, then, as it starts getting cool again, it gets re-hogged... That being said, how do you define laziness?
