TCA, SNZ yes you're both probably right about the voting, we all know democracy just doesn't work. And no I can't ignore you when you contribute so prolifically. I guess I just long for a resolution and I know I'm relatively new here so I think maybe I'm not the only one. The irresistable force and the immovable object locked in combat forever. ho hum. The skirmishes end when the apparently slightly more reasonable one (TCA) unilaterally banishes himself from the grid for a while as he says he will do again. Is this always the best resolution? Apparently many would say yes but I don't know. At least in my scenario who got to stay would have something to do with what their fellow collaborators thought of their contributions.

SNZ, I am also an advocate of an uncensored grid but i see the same problem occurring that I used to see in "anarchist" coffee shops. As soon as you say to people "you can do anything you want!" there is somebody who wants to test that liberty by shitting on the floor or raping a chicken and calling it performance art. Such people want to try to push everyone's buttons and react with glee when they successfully offend. They're the type of people who might try to piss others off just so they could collect the charicatures and insults that result. As you can see, I haven't come up with a good way to deal with these types without censorship. The method I employ sometimes is to just yawn and not pay attention to them or to try to approach their shock tactics from a perspective of calm detachment.
