Still, the question what a blog is has not been defined.

It is a diary. Sequentially written text usually. Some are personal, some are industry related and some are done my groups of people. But this definition is too simple.

The personal ones are popular - mine is not a personal blog. I have no desire to expose my inner thoughts to the world in the some people do - i mean, people can get really really personal. Somewhere there is a rather voyeuristic blog that someone is doing of listening to his neighbors have sex through the wall. Complete with stats of how many times they do it and at what times.
