I should add that it makes it easier for people who *do* know code as well. It's as easy as logging into a site, typing in some sentences and then "publishing" this text directly to a web pages. As Jon stated this process is handled rather smoothly through various scripts.

An argument could be made that the gridcosm is a visual blog of some sorts with a little text thrown in for good measure.
