I cant find it right now but i found a cool page of east african alphabets and how they evolved through history - beautiful stuff. it was on http://booknotes.weblogs.com but that site seems down at this moment. Anyone ever see Henry Louis Gate's documentary series on Africa? Ethiopia had a pretty good thing going once way back when, and they claim that they still today have The Ark, as in the one Indiana Jones and the Nazis were after.
