I know it's a neighborhood institution and all, but I had the worst barbequed beef I've ever had in my life at Gus's. To make matters worse, I'd invited a friend to dine with me there. Totally embarrassing. The meat was gray. We were sitting in a booth underneath a framed poster for the rock album Face The Music by ELO. Prominently displayed on this poster is an electric chair. I wondered out loud if we were unwittingly partaking in cannibalism. As for the Alhambra Fire patch in my latest installment of 'terrore" I was thinking of Phil Spector who allegedly fired a gun and killed a woman in Alhambra. I was thinking of SUVs when I added the old Cadillacs. The rest of it is mostly examples of local architecture.
