maybe... THU's reference to the "illusion of distance" in the gridpoem reminded me of Hubble's discovery (as seen on NOVA this week). It seemed like an appropriate taking off point.

The "illusion of distance" is also a great reference to Gridcosm's vanishing effect that get reillustrated on such a regular basis.
