We mustn't destroy Gridcosm in order to save it. It's not in need of rescue. I think that IPD cares too much. A gridhead can be 'lazy' as a form of protest. That said, it's difficult to create something that's 'lazy' in these postmodern times when technique is scorned. Or perhaps it's difficult NOT TO create something that's 'lazy.' I prefer the word corporatism over the older word fascism. The state serves the corporations, not the other way around. Anything that looks like it could hang in a boardroom is to be avoided at all costs. Likewise anything that looks like it belongs in the background of a soporific animated MTV video. This body electric is a Frankenstein's monster. It's flashbacks of a bad acid trip experienced by HAL. It's a nuclear-powered battery-operated remote-control waking nightmare. It's a toxic waste of time. It's ugly. I love it.
