I think it depend if the dvd is 'multizone' , i don't know very well. pal is 720x576 at 25 frame/second and ntsc is 720x480 at 30 fps this is on a computer screen cause tv have only horizontal lines(i guess).this is 525 lines ntsc@30fps vs 625 lines @25fps for pal/secam. i know people says 30 fps will do less jerkiness on the screen but there was a joke about ntsc before it said Never Twice Same Color
