not that i really care about such things (either soccer/football, or what americans call things!), but i was curious about what you said ... if only americans call it soccer. not quite true, but mostly true. basically there are a few other places: Football (soccer) names - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia <en.wikipedia.org>

but, as i said, i am not really into such things, so i will call it whatever suits the context. (kinda like i might say "college" in america, but "university" in other places.)
