i guess thats the delicate balance of gridcosm: it can sometimes be going very slow (see: "pity panel" discussion), and other times, someone jumps all over the square you want if you dont move quickly enough.
sometimes its a little of both, i guess.
the other day i had to unreserve a spot i really wanted to do because something came up all of a sudden. that can really bum you out.
