it has popped up twice in the last week or so. maybe this is an omen?

i shall now, for the first time ever, confess the bug ... if a person uploads first a jpeg and then a gif for the exact same location, it breaks things. yup, its true.

i will fix the code asap. until then, just dont do this. -grin-
