I'm not sure the random background color is needed. I think watching people adapting to the white is kind of interesting. The "skins" are intriguing, but am not sure how I feel about them. A pastel drawing done on white paper is different than one done on black, red, etc. So what happens if the paper randomly changes? I'll see if I can come up with some css goodness . . .
