As for THU's abilities and EHO's comment, I think there is a good side to being called young. The recent attention given to 'outsider' artists is a recognition of how refreshing self-expression can be when it is boldly put forward without traditional training and methods. I had a painting teacher who would occasionally make us put down our brushes and do a painting with twigs we found outside. The crude paintings that resulted had a different kind of life to them because they were not encumbered by perfectionism. This said, I think every artist should strive to make what they imagine, real and strive to improve their abilities to do so. Thus only the artist knows how successfully their vision was fulfilled.
