This timestamp information could be a boon for future time-travelers. For example, if you think back to the first Terminator movie, lets say Sarah Connor was an avid participant of the Gridcosm. In the future, by using the timestamp method, the Terminator could have pinpointed a specific time at which Sarah Connor was sitting at her computer and uploading a square. Since the Terminator was essentially a computer it could also pinpoint ip address and so forth, making sure it had the general geographical information. The lesson is that all this seemingly innocuous information could have potential consequences in the future. Which reminds me of of the grid pieces I've been meaning to do for a while now. Postcards and invitations to future grid cosmnonauts, who will clearly have time-travel capabilities by level 30,532 or so.
