well, this is mostly true, but slightly modest. the impish impetus to do the programming came from a head-scratching moment between OED, RUT, PSO, LEN and i, as we all stood in front of a computer (at the gridcosm video night!) and tried in vain to construct magic voodoo sql code to get us similar stats. one sleepless night later, and here we are.

ed and i love stats -- confusing and meaningful ones. we have daydreampt about them being *all over sito* for YEARS now. you can see how far along we are.... sigh! but we still hope to surprise you some day...
