Regarding the baseball player images. The central metaphor is that Gridcosm is the ''house that Ed built.'' It could just as easily be the ''house that Jon built'', but I couldn't find a photo of Jon that remotely resembles the Bambino.

Somewhere on the Grid I uploaded an image of Martha Stewart on a baseball card. I'll look for it someday.
