Composition on Gridcosm is problematic. This is especially true if you're limiting yourself to just one 150x150 square per level. Ever play a game called Asteroids? Imagine that the cursor used for firing at the asteroids and alien spaceships is instead a pressure-sensitive digital pen. Now try to compose a two dimensional graphic within the swirling, steadily and constantly changing visual environment of Asteroids. Your pen cannot draw a straight line.
