Level 1443 is the best I've seen in quite awhile. Especially noteworthy are OED's c1 and EHO's c2. You're approaching the ideal of loving blendiness. Question for OED: is that image 100% digital or is it a scan? EHO, please answer the same question. Looking at this fine level got me to thinking. Why not put a thumbnail of 1443 on the EXPLORE GRIDCOSM webpage instead of 1400? Why not choose the best level instead of arbitrarily choosing the hundredth level? The best level between 1400 and 1499 isn't 1400. I'll happily volunteer for the chore of choosing the 14 thumbnails if you're too busy. ;-) Out of pure self-hatred, I'm wrestling with a possibly broken WACOM Graphire USB tablet in GIMP (SuSE Linux PPC potato) today. TCA's 1444-a1 should be ''interesting.''
