First off, the image on 1218 is not mine. It's one of those photomosaics that were popular 4 or 5 years ago. The reason i mention that is so noone misunderstands that I'm claiming such an image to be original.

Sometimes I like to take other images verbatim, without changing a thing, sometimes I like to modify, or sometimes I create something 100% mine. It all depends on my mood and what's going on in the grid.

However, whatever I do, the structure of the Gridcosm ensures that a contribution will *always* be original in the sense that it is a part of a larger flow. Sunshine was speaking to this point. Furthermore, although I did snag the image there was some cropping involved- it is the nature of the digital medium that decisions such as cropping and filters, color correction, cutting and pasting and so forth are now as much a part of a digital artist's toolbox as brushes and paints are to painters.
