Tell me what software you're using to create recent Gridcosm squares.

For example, GIMP 1.2 for Linux is what I used on level 1042-a2. ...gridcosm?level=1042 I intend to make use of Painter 6 for Mac eventually. And Photoshop 6 or 7. Version 7 has a new engine. Do you think it's an improvement? Or have you actually lost some idiosyncratic capabilities by upgrading?
