It's likely that I've got Meniere's Disease. The MRI revealed no tumor. I've gone almost completely deaf in my right ear several times, then mysteriously regained some hearing ability there. Loud buzzing noise, dizziness and tinnitus this weekend. Comes and goes. Today the ear feels pretty good. Go figure.

As for the hard disk, it needed to be partitioned--I didn't know that. That's why it hosed. It's presently running fine.
