how about 3 or so levels where each artist is limited to only a 4- or 5-color palette. maybe creating a very blocky (almost non anti-aliased) image looking like legos or childrens blocks. would have to be some overlap of palette allowed with neighboring pieces, so as to facilitate blending.

or, maybe *only* photos (and minor tampering). really test our ability to find and doctor images (a la cia!) ... whew i am exhausted just thinking about this one. Google Image Search <images.google.com> to the rescue. haha
