I don't think topical/political stuff precludes blending or abstraction. The challenge to Gridcosm is to create something of your own in the context of a shared canvas. Sometimes folks just lack the enthusiasm to blend. Sometimes that pisses me off or discourages me from participating. Other times it looks kinda good or spurs me to do pieces.

The whole point of this post, though, is to point out a piece that is both topical and blendy. The top middle of this level...
