My artistic experiment here has been a failure. Which is unsurprising to me. Just about everything I've done online has been a failure since 1994 when I first plugged in a modem. The RIME Monty Python conference, ILink writers conference, alt.fan.furry, FurryMUCK, misc.writing, Cafe Utne, Electric Minds, The Cartoon Bar palace server, The WELL... I'm a social outcast and a pariah. Shunned. What I tried to do here was premeditated and intentional. It's a technique that works only when using Photoshop 4, as far as I know. Version 5 was significantly changed. Switch a TIFF image from RGB to indexed color/web. Then switch back to RGB. Sometimes it becomes necessary to manually select a single web safe color from an RGB dithering pattern. The finished image should be 100% web safe colors. That's about all there is to it. Doing this distorts the image, like a filter. Anyway, my images don't fit in. And neither do I.
