I agree with Nancy, jump in if you have the inclination. My first few grids were way too boxed for my taste, and my last few grids were way too something for some tastes.... Give it a try and see how it suits you. Do it wrong if you like. The Surgeon General won't tell you that it's addictive, but it is for some.
