I've seen the Gridcosm in various states. But just today, while visiting family in Omaha, I was cruising through it on a cable-modem on a 256-colour monitor... and I was awestruck. There is magic in those pixels. I was sucked in and swirled around and spit sprawling and warm onto the sizzling sidewalk of fuck-yeah. This may seem a self-congratulatory circle-jerk pat-on-the-back since I initially programmed and set up the project... maybe it is in a sense. I'm proud of this thing. But I am in awe of the artists involved and the super-human results we get by working and playing together in this pixelspace. Levels I've seen over and over still gush with newness. Messy non-blendies take their rightful place among the spirited agitators of a greater design. I am anxious to get the collab-mode back online. It is urgent that you view Gridcosm on a fast connection and maybe even set the monitor to 256 colours... the dithering blend effect is digital pretty. ...e
