Hi Dan, Thank you for your post. I love the work of Redon. The Luan I use is 1/4 inch thick, and carpenters use it to build cabinets. You can go to any lumber yard, or hardware store and get it I believe. I buy mine in ten foot by four foot sheets, and I find it wonderful to work with. It also cost less than using canvas. As for the Ravens, or crows that I use I have always imagined Faderwing being a crow for some reason. Faderwing is a nickname that my father gave me.
