Thank you. Although I tend towards the widely held opinion that there has been too much Renaissance retro in modern Italian art, Bartolini appears to be one of those who can show us how to use earlier genres and applications of oil paint, copied in pastel here, to make new imaginative images instead of just Kitsch.
