Funnily enough, a local artist, Graham Clark, wrote that the work in my exhibition that included 'Decaying boatshed, Herne Bay promenade' indicated the influence of Van Gogh, even though I hardly ever study reproductions of his paintings. I obviously need to get in some serious imitations of Vincent's paintings and see what effect they have on my other stuff!
