To compare JSY to Pollock or Bacon just because he's being criticised is... well, silly. I think most of the criticism about filter-art in general comes from experience. Anyone who's used Photoshop for more than a year knows how easy it is to make things look cool with a few filters. Doesn't mean it's not "art". Doesn't mean it is good art either.
