In Rizal's 28th move (Qb4) he offered a queen sacrifice, which was rejected by Zeferenz, seeing that it will lead to mating moves. Even then, Rizal still won, despite his opponent's declining his queen sacrifice. In real life, Rizal sacrificed his own life (as in chess he is willing to sacrifice his most valuable piece in order to win) that led to the victory of the Filipinos in their fight against Spain!
