Ed, I do think you have chosen the wisest course. And while I understand the dismay that greets James' efforts, I see merit and value in them... especially the way a provocative-looking thumbnail image, when viewed up close, can dissolve into a blurry, distorted and gooey mess (sexual relations can be a lot like that). While I'm a firm believer that only the most piss-poor art requires any explanation, I would say that James' power-tooled sexual imagery is creative on the perceptual level, and this is self-evident to me. Lots of us are dealing with eroticism-- Jenna on a political level, Erin appears to have a sociological bent, Eva is more surrealistic in her approach where I am more of a romantic. At any rate, I'd hate to see any of us shut out for offending the sensibilities of some.
