Description:Poster 2 of 2 submitted for Graphic Design History assignment. The entire poster design, illustration, and layout was done by a classmate. I only did the typography. He wanted to capture a Art Nouveau style, a la Mucha. I wanted to use a typeface that flows similar to the human contours and organic elements in the poster. Then I saw Alfred Roller's Secessionist poster and found what I was looking for. The concept is based on the return of decoration to graphic design and illustration. "Decadence" references the feeling designers have using decoration against the advice of critics. Illustrator and Photoshop.
