Kimono Glow Heavily textured imported papers enhance this kimono image along with varigated red gold leaf and luminescent paints. Detail The rich texture of this piece should be seen in person to be fully appreciated. Detail Visible fibers and layer-upon-layer of imported paper are only part of the charm of this beautiful painting. View 2. All of the abstract background shapes are luminescent except for the two butter yellow ones which are matte and add an interesting element to the piece. | | Details: | Title: | Kimono Glow | Size: | 24" x 36" | Media: | Mixed media & Acrylic on Canvas | Date: | 2005 | | | About This Piece: | This is the second piece in my " Women's Fashion as Social Statement" series. It is an original, one-of-a-kind collage/painting on stretched canvas that has been painted on the edges as well as the front. I call it, "Kimono Glow". A womanless kimono made of imported papers and gold leaf seeks identity amidst an pearlized acrylic field of luminescent, abstract forms that seem to glow as they catch the light and dance about the canvas. More light reflection occurs through the metallic papers and varigated red gold leaf. The piece is heavily textured and beautiful. | | | Certified Member of EBSQ Self-Representing Artists
