Description:Oh, this one goes back a-ways! This was done for a cover of READ Magazine back in 1999. I remember the circumstances pretty clearly: I was staying at editor/publisher Adam Liebling's house in Long Island. He wanted a cover to go along with the Zappa feature he was going to run, and asked me to draw it. The image I drew is a composite from two different album covers. I did most of it on one Thursday night into the wee hours. Then I went to Manhattan, drew the rest in a park, met Sarah Oleksyk face-to-face for the first time, went and saw the legendary Madness in concert, and later on went to the Kiev with Sarah O. What a day.
