Description:A portrait of my Grandmother, based on 'raw portraits'. I feel you cannot get a more raw image than an old lady putting in her rollers. Women's hair plays a big part of their lives. It makes them feel more attractive and confident (if its sitting the way they want of course!) It also gives a women a lot of time to think. Here my grandmother seems content and deep in thought. I would like to think this portrait invites viewers in to consider her lifes events and ponder over what she could be thinking about now... April 2007
