Description:Around the turn of the century I was roommates with @blaine, who would go on to be Twitter s main programmer in its early years -- a truly life-changing gig. At the time I didn t really understand what it was for but in light of what it hubristically grew into before entering its long, slow, but inevitable death spiral, I find I harboured nostalgia for its early years, so I made an ANSI art adaptation of Lifting A Dreamer , Yiying Lu s old illustration informally known as the Fail Whale .
