Description:Life drawing assignment: to create a portrait incorporating some important aspects of life. Not my best technical work, but I enjoyed composing the theme. The african mask and the kabuki portrait expresses cultural heritage, the portrait of my daughter is in the top center of the composition, the window shows a tree (representing the natural world) and my love for nature, the football and baseball represent my love of sports, the open door symbolizes my desire to be open-minded and the darkness represents the unknown. Graphite and charcoal on textured paper.
