Description:'B612' is an asteroid where Le Petit Prince lives. In this picture, i t is inhabited by little figures of Anthony Gormley, from his installation 'Euro pean Field'. It consists of 40.000 little schematised human clay figures. Instal lation was in 1994 exposed in Sarajevo and Zagreb. The artist's intention was to link countries in war with the rest of the Europe and world, and to bring, thro ugh the spirit of these little clay people, the ideas of tolerance, peace and un ity. Antoine de Saint-Exupery's book 'Le Petit Prince' problematises stupidity a nd ignorance of "adults", and shows some of basic human virtues, of which the Li ttle Prince is the "metaphorical vehicle". This collage is a reinterpretation of both Gormley's installation and de Saint-Exupery's novel, and it is yet anot her message that reflects the war tragedy in ex Yugoslavia.
